Yogi Yeager began his technology career working at Curtis Hill Publishing in Austin. The organization was the first in Texas to digitize Texas case law and publish it on a CD. Starting out in sales, Yeager was able to show considerable technical skills and was moved into management. Yeager was serving as Executive Vice President when the company was sold to Matthew Bender®. Mr Yeager then returned home to Dallas, where he grew up, and launched Bear Technologies® Corporation. Yeager’s first customer was Brice Foods, the parent company of the “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt” brand. Brice Foods, impressed with Yeager, hired Bear Technologies Corporation to migrate the organization’s mainframe system to a Windows-based IP network with approximately 150 users.

Mr. Yeager’s vision for Bear was to create an organization offering enterprise-level services to small and medium-sized businesses within his community. His unique approach to servicing his clients meant creating a single contact for all of an organization’s IT needs and eliminating the frustration in dealing with multiple vendors when a problem occurred. To that end, Mr Yeager built his own private IP network allowing for unique and expanded capabilities. Later, after creating a Tier 3 data center with colocation services, Yeager started exploring cloud services and launched his first cloud solutions in 2012 operating within his wholly owned network. 2012 also marked the year that he successfully completed the transition from a break-fix model to a managed service provider. Yeager was recognized by Cisco for his work with small and medium-sized businesses and invited to serve as a founding member of the Cisco Small Business Executive Exchange. His tenure on the Board from 2008 until he rotated off in 2012, allowed him to help improve Cisco products for the small and medium-sized business.

When not working at Bear, Mr Yeager enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie, visiting his recently married son Trey and wife Gill, as well as supporting his step-son Brendon serving in the United States Marines. He has been a season ticket holder of Dallas Stars tickets for twelve years and enjoys mountain bike riding and skiing whenever he can.
